Good Bye Old Friend

When we got back from Houston we tried to start old Betsy up. The problem was Betsy didn't start. We hooked her up to the van to jump it and it started then stopped and never started again. We talked to my brother-in-law who knows a lot about cars and he said it may not be worth fixing. As you can see Betsy has seen better days. It was a sad day when big Mike (junk yard guy) came and took Betsy away. There are so many memories in this car. This was our first car and all the kids were brought home from the hospital in this little car. In honor of Betsy I made I list of things I will miss about her:
1. The way she would shake when I hit 60 mph
2. The way it took her 1/2 hour to heat up in the winter
3. She had expensive taste and always want the newest parts
Last but not least Betsy loved the color red so much she had to have all shades even rusty red. Here's to you Betsy may you enjoy the junk yard forever!

Internship part 2

While we were in Texas we decided to go to the temple. Scot and I took turns going inside and staying outside with the kids. The grounds were very pretty (like at every temple) so we had fun walking around. Here are some pictures I took of the kids at the temple.

Internship Part 1

In Houston there are so many things to do. If we did everything we wanted to we would have had no money left, so we had to pick our favorite things to do. We love going to museums! We went to three really fun museums while we were there (we went to the Nature Center but I don't think it counts as museum). Houston had a Natural History museum, Children's Museum, and the Health and Medical Science museum. You can probably guess who choose what museum, but if you are stumped... Scot choose Natural History, the kids choose the Children's museum and yes I choose the Health museum. They were all so much fun!

Natural History Museum

Crazy man is really into super heroes. He saw this rock and said, Mom look kriptonite."

When Scot and I get rich, Scot said he would but this for me. I girl can dream right?!

This was in the Health museum. It was a random exhibit but so much fun. We learned the different things people do to create cartoons.

In the Health museum we also learned about the food guide pyramid. I am the only one who got giddy in this museum. I know it's my inner nerd.

This is me now and this is me at age 80

This children's museum was so much fun here are a couple pictures from that.

I'm Back!

We just got back about two weeks ago from Scot's internship in Houston Texas. We didn't have internet in our apartment so I would have to go elsewhere to check email. I never had time to blog being that I had to use a public computer and had people waiting on me. Now that I have internet I feel I have a lot to tell you about. We had so much fun in Houston. There was a lot to do and the people were friendly. We heard a lot of "Y'all" and saw a lot of cowboy appreal. Only in Texas can you get pulled over by a Ford pickup truck and see the police officer dressed up like a cowboy. Not that we were pulled over we saw it happen. We went to five different states this summer! We started in Kansas, then Oklahoma, Texas, Maryland and Delaware. There are too many pictures and too much to tell so I will break it up in parts. I know you are all at the edge of your seat wanting to see and hear all we did. I know I'm excited to tell you.

Summer Time Adventure

At the beginning of April Scot had an interview with a company in FL for an internship. We were very excited by the idea of being in Fl and being close to my Grandparents. Then out of nowhere we got an offer to do an internship in Houston TX. After much thought and prayer we decided to take the Houston offer instead of waiting to hear back on the FL. The company in FL were still going back and forth on if they needed Scot and if it would work out so we decided to not wait any longer for them to make up their minds. I am excited for Houston and I feel like it will be a great adventure.

More good news is crazy man is officially potty trained!!! It was easier then I thought! I also went running for the first time since Logan was born. I ran 1 1/2 miles and it felt great.

Big Changes

Ok so it has been such a long time since I blogged that I don't think anyone reads this any more. We have had some big changes in our family. Baby L was born on March 14 at 4am. He was 8 pounds 5oz and 20 3/4 inches long. He is a great baby! He is very calm and is a great sleeper. I am doing great! I have been able to get sleep at night and feel like recovery wasn't that bad. The kids love him and are big helpers. I thought crazy man would have a hard time with him but he has handled the change really well. Princess is like a little mom and is such a big help. We went to D.C for Christmas and Mom T took pictures of all of us here are some of my favorites.

My parents were able to come out and help for a little over a week. It was so much fun having them out. We blessed Baby L then too because we wanted them to be there for it. Here is a picture of the blessing day.
